James Hext is co-founder and director at Odin Partners. James founded Odin in 2015, having amassed a significant career in senior executive search across EMEA Fixed Income, Currencies, Interest Rate Trading, and Commodities.

James graduated from the University of Oxford (MA Theology), initially interning with Goldman Sachs. He went on to complete an impressive five-year tenure at international recruitment firm Cazar Search. At Cazar, James was a key executive search consultant in G10 Interest Rate Trading and EMEA Fixed Income Sales, and oversaw the commodities sales business.

Having built an impressive network and rapport in the financial services industry, James branched out with fellow Odin Partners founder Mounaver Thomas to establish the firm.

Overseeing the growth and management of Odin, James has been behind some of the most significant and influential senior placements across the global fixed income capital markets. Under James’s tenure, Odin Partners has forged expansive recruitment relationships with some of the world’s most coveted hedge funds, investment banks, and financial services firms.

Outside of Odin Partners, James is a prominent investor and mentor. He has built several successful financial services ventures from the ground up with partners in the industry.
